Sympathy is a feeling of concern, perception or distress of human beings. Also sympathy is a concern for the well- being of another person.

In Sri Lanka there is a good tradition to convey the sympathy as you all know. It is sending special sympathy flowers to their homes. There are so many types of flowers that you can choose to express your particular sentiments.

The flower Lily is a most common flower that is totally associated with funeral services. The symbolizing of this flower is innocence that has been restored to the soul of the departed.


Carnations are also very popular choices for sympathy arrangements. They are also having varieties of beautiful colors in carnation with amazing, long lasting fragrances.


Daffodils & Tulips are also symbols of renewal & fresh sorts. Normally they are symbolizing encouragement & hopefulness to persons who are in unhappy or grieving.


Orchid plant is also a gesture of sympathy. Especially white orchid is the symbol of sympathy. Florists are also suggested these white color orchids as a best way of denoting the sympathy.



As well as all you know Roses are also can play a major role in an arrangements of funeral flowers. They are already evoking innocence, humility, grace, appreciations & courage as much as you wish to have.
